CaseCraft.AI Processes £14.9M in Civil Claims Using Agentic AI

Legal technology startup CaseCraft.AI, founded in late 2023 by UK solicitor Mikhail Yatsuha, has raised approximately £1.8 million across three funding rounds to scale its AI-native platform for civil litigation. As of August 2026, the platform has processed 4,562 matters with a cumulative value of £14.9 million. Of these cases, 51 percent have settled or been won on default judgment. Currently, 373 matters are in active legal work, with more than 400 having progressed to active stages and 130 claims officially issued at court.

For legal practitioners and claimants, the platform addresses a fundamental economic barrier: the high cost of representation that often makes lower-value disputes financially unviable. Rather than acting as a simple drafting assistant, CaseCraft.AI uses agentic workflows to manage the entire lifecycle of a civil claim. The system gathers evidence, determines eligibility, tracks procedural rules, and generates documents. It separates factual extraction from legal inference to ensure reliability, keeping the AI constrained to authoritative legal sources and specific case evidence.

The startup's real-world operations have yielded key insights into human-AI collaboration. CaseCraft.AI integrates measurable human oversight, which has successfully reduced the time required for human professional review fourfold since launch. Additionally, introducing a human phone call at a trust-sensitive stage of the process boosted user conversion rates by at least 15 percent. The platform is designed to escalate ambiguous or evidence-deficient cases to human lawyers, ensuring that automated systems do not prematurely reject or mismanage complex disputes.

Looking forward, CaseCraft.AI is expanding its capabilities to support enterprise clients and bulk-claim management. The platform features tools that allow businesses to initiate batch-claims of up to 150 disputes with a single click. The company is currently piloting its first enterprise deployment and testing a minimum viable product for Employment Law, while also exploring opportunities in Personal Injury with a specialist litigation firm.
